the story of MORNING CITY
Founded in 1981 in the lush mountain valleys of The Three Gems Archipelago, Morning City was destined to be the world's premier technological trade hub.With access to markets in the United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia, it was designed as a futuristic Japanese-American city-state and populated by adventurous colonists from around the world.The city had a tumultuous start as the challenges of bringing modern and advanced technology to such an isolated location proved difficult.The shifting political winds of the three surrounding countries: Marraqueña, Jazira Yazi, and New Colonia, hampered the city's attempts to prosper in adversity.Soon after, geopolitical upheaval and the U.S.-Russian Cold War decreased support for such a daring colonization.With the sudden collapse of the Japanese economy in the 90s, Morning City was seen as the first of many failures in U.S.-Japanese business ventures and was subsequently abandoned.It's people, stateless and dejected, were lost to crushing debt and the unforgiving jungle wilderness. That is, until a charismatic factory line worker, Ryu Yamato, galvanized the colonists and established the Morning City Corporation.Ryu Yamato successfully secured investments from governments and entities in the Middle East, China, Argentina, Singapore, India, South Africa, Mexico, Indonesia, and New Colonia.The result was an explosion of economic prosperity for the company and its efforts.Morning City now leads the world in technological research and development in the fields of artificial intelligence, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, cloud computing, robotics, and space exploration.
